NewLane Partners releases the newest version of their Eureka! Search Application Development Platform.
Eureka! Search Application Platform Provides Self-Servicing Configurable Search User Interface With No Software Development
NewLane Partners, LLC, a Massachusetts based software development company, has released the newest version of their Eureka! Search Application Development Platform. Paul Carney, president and founder of NewLane, noted: “We developed this unique search application platform-as-a-service in concert with changing client requirements as they move many applications to the Cloud. Frustration remains high in many businesses today because they still cannot easily find the information they want, when they need it, and act quickly upon it. Critical business decisions are being delayed because of inadequate search capabilities within the various programs that have been deployed over many years.”
Eureka! was developed from the ground up as a platform to capture all the commonalities of what a search app is and allows for the easy customization of what a company’s search app specifically needs. Carney notes, “We have developed a single platform that enables companies to provide self-servicing configurable search applications that can co-exist with on-premises, hybrid and Cloud-based service offerings. Our ability to rapidly deploy this platform, with no software development needed, has broken through a barrier that clearly sets NewLane apart in this environment. More importantly, the seamless end user search experience is driving user adoption of the Cloud as an extension of the company’s corporate infrastructure.”
Seth Earley, CEO of Earley and Associates, describes the current global search environment this way, “What many executives don’t realize is that search tools and technologies have advanced but need to be adapted to the specific information needed by the enterprise and by different types of employees accomplishing their tasks. The key is context. Doing this across the enterprise quickly and efficiently is the Holy Grail. Developing new classes of cloud-based search applications are an essential component for achieving outstanding results.”
Eureka! provides the ability to maintain both a Cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and non-Cloud search environment, providing a seamless search experience regardless of the physical location of searchable content.
Carney added, “The full functionality of Eureka! enables understaffed and overworked IT departments to address the immediate search requirements as their companies navigate the choppy waters of lessening their dependence on enterprise and proprietary software installations while moving critical business applications to the Cloud. Our ability to work within all their existing systems and transparently find content that is being migrated to the Cloud is saving time, reducing costs and delivering immediate business value.”
It is significant to note that this is not “just” a Cloud-based solution. Eureka! is enabling companies to migrate quickly to a Cloud environment, but because of its unique configurable user interface, it also works in a hybrid business model or totally within the enterprise of multiple on premises software repositories, file shares, and relational databases that may be operating in a Google Search Appliance or an open-source Apache™ Solr™ or Hadoop® environment.
“Flexibility and adaptability are key for both cloud computing and search applications, so assuming the architecture is right, they’d seem to fit together very well,” said Steve Weissman, principal consultant at Holly Group. “Layer on an equally-compelling need for simplicity and usability, and you’ve got something really potentially great.”
Eureka! is available in Amazon’s AWS Marketplace.
