Square 9® Expands Browser-Based Collaboration in SmartSearch 4.0
Users can now leverage the power of Dropbox® to securely collaborate on documents with external sources.
Square 9 Softworks has formally announced the release of SmartSearch 4.0, delivering users with an enriched web-based collaborative experience. The flexible 4.0 solution has been built to streamline the remote management of documents through a tight integration with Dropbox®, new browser-enabled features and general enhancements to the performance of GlobalSearch®.
Users of the GlobalSearch mobile access client can now leverage the power of Dropbox® to securely collaborate on documents with external sources. SmartSearch 4.0 also delivers new options for document versioning to simplify the tracking of changes made to your files by users not working within the confines of a records management environment. Further improving collaboration, GlobalSearch now comes equipped with a new related document search tool to allow for the virtual “paper clipping” of documents within the system.
“With SmartSearch 4.0 we had two objectives, to improve the collaborative experience for users when working with business content and to continue building off the success of our GlobalSearch platform for mobile delivery,” stated Stephen Young, President and CEO at Square 9. “Our development team exceeded expectations by adding innovative new features that are sure to excite the Square 9 user community.”
In addition, Square 9 has enhanced the system performance of Image XChange to better accommodate user access from within multiple business applications. Added functionality to the QuickBooks Connector allows for easy Invoice creation plus new Read Only and Format Type fields. For GlobalForms® users, SmartSearch 4.0 delivers a simplified method for web forms mapping, resulting in PDF output.
The Square 9 Development Team has optimized a wide range of features within the SmartSearch 4.0 release to enhance the user experience when collaborating on documents. Users all over the world can now work together even more effectively sharing content regardless of location.
